The Differences That Your Contributions Make...
Not only is your donation a wonderful gift to the animals, you may also make a donation in another person (or pet's) honor or memory. Including HSSC in your will is an excellent way to leave a loving legacy to help future generations of pets.
What your support does:
$25.00 - Helps cover the cost of food for all shelter cats or dogs for one day.
$50.00 - Provides medical care and shelter for an orphan awaiting adoption.
$125.00 - Provides a one-week supply of kitty litter for shelter cats and kittens or heartworm testing for 15 dogs.
$250.00 - Provides medical care for 50 cats or dogs.
$500.00 - Provides about 100 children with humane education through our outreach programs.
$1,000.00 - Provides one day of food, medicine, shelter and care for all orphaned animals.

You can make online contributions via PayPal for donations, memorials, memberships, event registrations and other transactions. Please specify the purpose of your donation and any other pertinent information (i.e., guest names, memorial donation acknowledgement names and address, etc.) in the "Notes" line on the PayPal donation form. If you need to convey additional information beyond the allotted space, please send an email with the additional information to adminasst@hssc.org. Paypal offers secure online transactions.

We all know that business owners are bombarded with requests for donations, but usually, you get very little in return. However, HSSC has a unique and rewarding Corporate Sponsorship concept:
As a Corporate Sponsor, you get a full year's listing on HSSC's website (which receives about 10,000 hits per month) and a direct link to your website - that's FREE advertising for your company! You are also listed as a caring sponsor in HSSC's newsletter and event publications and receive many more benefits. Plus, by mentioning your support for HSSC in your own marketing materials, you touch the largest consumer group there is: almost 80% of the population own pets! You can help HSSC's shelter pets by donating a used vehicle! The Humane Society of Sarasota County accepts donated cars, trucks, vans, RV's, boats - even planes - to raise money to provide care for the thousands of abandoned pets it shelters each year. The process is fast and easy! The Auto Donation Depot will come to your home or office, pick up your donated vehicle and provide you with the necessary paperwork to deduct the value of the donation from your taxes. Vehicles in all conditions are accepted and each helps HSSC! To arrange for pickup of your vehicle, call 1-860-548-9838, or access an online donation form at http://aviel.c-corp.net/HSSC/. Your friends and family across the country can have their vehicle donations benefit HSSC, too! Memorial Bricks are red bricks, custom engraved to remember that special pet from your past. Each will contain up to 3 lines of 10 characters, plus your choice of artwork from eight different themes:
The brick is yours to either take home or we will place it in HSSC's Memorial Garden (pictured at right) in a wall with memorial bricks placed by other pet parents.

We have a wide assortment of pet supplies and toys available for purchase at our shelter. When you purchase your pet food, collars, leases, and other supplies here, you help support the HSSC and the animals we care for.

The Humane Society of Sarasota County, Inc. is seeking "Advertising Angels" to cover the cost of running HSSC ads in local newspapers. The ads would be geared toward increasing adoptions by making the public aware of the large number of dogs, cats, kittens and puppies who are in need of loving homes.
